10 Tips to Improve your Sleep

KateKlein's 10 easy recommendations to improve your sleep

It is essential to remember that good sleep helps us achieve wellbeing. Amid all the advice and solutions, here are our 10 easy to follow recommendations to improve your sleep.

1- Prioritize sleep:

With nutrition and exercise, sleep is one of the three pillars of a healthy lifestyle. It is therefore critical to make it a priority in your life to get enough good quality sleep.

2- Know your sleep needs:

No one knows better than you how you feel and how much sleep you need. Just listen to your body to reach the right balance.

3- Exercise and get outdoors:

Regular exercise is proven to promote better sleep. It's also important to be exposed to natural light and fresh air, particluarly in the morning in order to reset your natural clock.

4- Create a perfect sleep environment:

Get a comfortable mattress, the best sheets you can find and, of course, a KateKlein pillow! Adapt your blanket or duvet to the seasons to avoid getting too hot or cold.

5- Sleep clean:

Wash your sheets and pillow cases regularly and make your bed every day to keep it healthy and inviting.

6- Eat and drink with sleep in mind:

Avoid eating too much and drinking alcohol too close to bedtime. Also avoid caffeine and other stimulants in the late afternoon and evening.

7- Adapt to the situation:

Experts suggest developing and sticking to a sleep routine. While certainly sound advice, keep it flexible enough so as not to stress out if you have to adapt.

8- Endulge your senses:

Sleep in a cool, dark and quiet room. For perfumes and candles, favor light relaxing scents such as lavender or jasmine. Before bed, enjoy a cup of herbal tea such as verveine (lemon verbena).

9- Do something you enjoy:

Before going to sleep, read something, take a bath, listen to music, etc. Just don't read work emails…

10- Breathe and relax:

Once in bed, try not to think about all that happened today and especially all that you have to do tomorrow. Revving up your brain will prevent you from falling asleep.

Sleep well...
